About the service
The Homeownership Readiness Program helps individuals and families prepare financially and practically to purchase a home. The program combines education, one-on-one coaching, and personalized planning so participants understand the homebuying process and are financially prepared to become successful homeowners.
The goal is to help families move from renting or uncertainty into stable homeownership with the knowledge, credit, and financial foundation needed to purchase and sustain a home.

Resource directory with grant and funding opportunities

Certificate of completion for participants ready to take the next step

Free HUD certified first time homebuyers class

Co-branded workshops with lenders and realtors

How We Administer It:​

Community-Based Locations – Services are delivered at partner community organizations such as nonprofits, churches, schools, or community centers.

Scheduled Workshops & Classes – Homeownership, credit, and foreclosure-prevention education is delivered through structured group sessions.

One-on-One Support – Participants can meet individually with Bailey Project staff for personalized guidance and action plans.

Virtual Access – Coaching sessions and workshops can also be offered online to increase access.

Set Office Hours – The Bailey Project staff hold regular office days at each hub for drop-in support, follow-up, and ongoing assistance.
